Waweru: Mbajah’s allegation was that President Bush had seen Ouko’s press conference and then asked to meet him.

The press conference took place on the morning of February 2nd, just hours before the Kenyan delegation left Washington.

President Bush’s official diary chronicled every minute of his working life. It makes no mention of any meeting with Ouko.

Ouko’s press conference was scheduled to begin at 8am when President Bush was attending a National Security Briefing in the White House. [Press conference no sound]

At 8:31 he flew by helicopter from the White House to Maryland where at 8:54 he departed for North Carolina. He did not return to Washington that day. [Bush diary graphic]

Martin Minns: Dr Robert Ouko could not and did not, meet with President Bush as Mbajah alleged.
